FAM Tours
In full “Familiarization tours” help the producer, the location scout, art directors and others, understand a location, generally a country, a city, or a province, its facilities, its amenities, who the locals are, what incentives are available and who is on the ground to work as servicing and production agents.

Fam tours are a term used for tours that are targeted at giving those interested in working in an area a tour of the locations.

In full “Familiarization tours” help the producer, the location scout, art directors and others, understand a location, generally a country, a city, or a province, its facilities, its amenities, who the locals are, what incentives are available  and who is on the ground to work as servicing and production agents.

Locations Africa Projects, has hosted two such tours in recent times, a combined tour of parts of the South Eastern Coastal region of Africa, targeting the Province of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa and the country of Mauritius off the coast of Madagascar.

The tours hosted in partnership with the KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission KZNFilm Tourism KZN, Mauritius Tourism Promotion Agency, Film Studios Mauritius, Tamarin Film, Light & Light, Compass Locations and others, took location scouts and manager of the LMGI and Producers on a ten day trip exploring the vast landscapes, cheat locations, equipment houses, beaches, mountains, waterfalls, houses, cities, interiors and exteriors  and many locations more prime for shooting on location.

Both South Africa and Mauritius offer incentives and are complimentary in their operations.

Both countries have world class skilled labour and offer competitive tourism to support any production

We will be hosting one locations tour per quarter in different regions and countries. No locations tour is ever set up the same.
